Your toes have been pressed together your whole life.

Unpressed is a merino sock with a separate compartment for every toe. Fabric where there used to be skin against skin — so your toes stay drier, cooler and more comfortable, all day.

THE DESIGN

Five toes. One compartment. Since when is that normal?

Your toes spend twelve hours a day pressed against each other. Every conventional sock is built that way — and no one ever asked why.

Pressed

Skin sits directly against skin. A conventional sock wraps the foot, but puts nothing between the toes — so moisture stays exactly where it forms.

Unpressed

Every toe gets its own merino compartment. Fabric replaces skin-on-skin contact and moves moisture away from the place it collects.

Toe Merino fabric Trapped moisture

Traditional socks were designed around the shape of a shoe. Ours are designed around the anatomy of the foot.

Five toes. Five compartments. Unpressed.

Unpressed upgrades your
Workday

One pair, built for the hours your feet actually spend inside a shoe.

Fabric between every toe

Five separate compartments replace skin-on-skin contact in the one place conventional socks leave untouched.

Merino moisture management

Merino moves moisture away from the skin and keeps working when it is damp — unlike cotton, which simply holds on to it.

Temperature regulating

The same fibre that keeps sheep warm in winter and cool in summer. Warm boots, warm weather, same sock.

Naturally odour resistant

Merino resists odour build-up, so a pair stays fresh through a long day on your feet.

Less rubbing, fewer blisters

Toes that no longer grind against each other have far less opportunity to blister.

THE MATERIAL

Merino, because cotton gives up the moment it gets wet.

Merino moves moisture as vapour before it turns into damp, keeps insulating when it does get wet, and resists odour without any chemical treatment. It is the reason this sock can sit between your toes all day and still feel like nothing at all.

Questions?

We've got answers

Do they fit in normal shoes?

Yes. The knit is the same thickness as a regular everyday sock — the toe compartments are shaped, not padded. They work in trainers, boots, dress shoes and everything in between.

How long do they take to put on?

The first few times, about twenty seconds longer than a normal sock. After a week you stop noticing. Line up your big toe first and the rest follow on their own.

Will they feel strange at first?

Most people notice the sensation for the first ten minutes of day one, then forget about it entirely. It is the feeling of your toes no longer being held together — unfamiliar, not uncomfortable.

Does merino itch?

No. Itch comes from coarse wool fibres. We use fine-diameter merino, soft enough to sit directly against the skin between your toes.

How do I wash them?

Machine wash cold on a wool or delicate cycle and air dry. No tumble dryer, no fabric softener. Merino needs washing far less often than cotton.

Will the toes wear through?

Pure merino on five separate compartments would not last. We blend in nylon at the toes and heel for durability, and keep the merino content high everywhere it touches skin.

Which size do I take?

Size by your shoe size using the chart on the product page. Toe socks are less forgiving than regular socks about length — if you are between sizes, take the smaller one.

Is this a medical product?

No. Unpressed is a premium sock, not a treatment. We make no claims about treating, curing or preventing any medical condition. What we do claim is physical: fabric between every toe, less skin-on-skin contact, and merino doing what merino does with moisture.
